Grandma & Grandpa layout

I was a very small child when my grandfather died (I think almost 3) so I never knew him.  I was born and raised in Illinois and my grandmother lived in Arkansas.  So I only got to see her once a year on vacation.  I one thing I remember most about her was her LONG white hair that she would let me brush and that she chewed tobacco.  I never had a good picture of them before and have asked my cousins that grew up in Arkansas with her to share one.  I have tried for years to get a good photo of them and then the other day one of my cousin's finally posted a photo of them on Facebook.  I have no idea when this photo was taken or why they were dressed up.  I printed the photo at Wal-Mart and when I got there to pick it up I went straight to the scrapbook paper (although I have more paper than Wal-Mart has) and looked for paper to match the photo.  I thought this Colorbok 12" Designer Wild and Free Paper Pad worked well to match grandma's jacket, the sky and grandpa's suit.

I used a Fiskars diamond border punch on the top & bottom of the teal strip of grid paper and fussy cut flowers from another sheet in the pack.  I had the Studio Calici chipboard cameras in my stash and put one of each color in each of the 3 embellishment spots and added a different color lens to each.  Then I put another color dot on each so that I had the grey, yellow and blue in each.  I matted the photo in a yellow patterned paper in the paper pack and I had some Thickers in my stash AMERICAN CRAFTS THICKERS: IMPRINT | CREAM & GOLD FOILED CHIPBOARD.

.  I absolutely love the way this turned out and so glad I have a nice photo of my paternal grandparents...finally.
