Bottle cap flattening

I have tried MANY times to flatten bottle caps that have been taken off a bottle.  I failed miserably every time.  I finally came across this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z3irtpXQPk  that shows a good way.  I finally got one that looks close to a store bought bottle cap.  I used a Barq's Root Beer cap.

Flower clothespins

I made these for a swap.  The items were supposed to be orange so I did the flowers with orange card stock, orange stickler for the centers and colored the mini clothespin green.

we are infinite

This is a layout I made with a sketch on the scrapaholics anonymous yahoo group (I won by the way).  It is my daughter and her two best friends taken during the school year book pictures photo shoot with the professional photographer.  Since the three girls were on the yearbook staff, he agreed to take some fun shots of them for free (which was a great deal since that photographer is VERY expensive).  The brick behind the horizontal picture is a piece I made with a stencil, modeling paste and ink and then over that I added pieces of transparency with a grunge look on it.  Have had the burlap bow for awhile and just found a layout to use it on.  The we are infinite title is printed on transparency.  The journaling is on a velum library pocket that I got in an ephemera pack (not sure which one).  The fox flair was a great addition since two of the girls are redheads.  I used some old rub-ons around the layout and a doily (cut in half) that I cut on my Cameo.  Very happy with how this turned out.

Graduation announcements

This is my daughter's high school graduation announcement that I sent out.  Since I put the rosette under the Class of 2015 sticker, it cost an extra .21 to mail  but she really liked the rosette so I figured, she worked hard to graduate, I can give on that.

The a2 gatefold shutter card base (Design ID #78304) and rosette (Design ID #21804 ) are from the Silhouette design store.  The Class of 2015 sticker is from Walmart.

I created the black dots at the top of the announcement just for some interest.  I did print & cut on red card stock for the front panels and for the inside panel with her name and 2015.  I would have liked the information panels to be on the inside but they wouldn't work with the transition mechanism.

Her school colors are red, black and white.  Some of the Walmart stickers had epoxy on top and some did not.  I used the ones that did not for the ones I mailed.  I don't like the look of them as much as the ones with epoxy on top but I was trying to lower the bulk as much as possible.

The left panel has the graduation invitation and information, the right has the school song lyrics (my daughter's idea).  Her and her friends all think they are fabulous.

Leprechaun trap

I got this file from www.svgcuts.com.  I love their files.  I have not added the chocolate coins inside to entice the Leprechaun inside yet but I will get it done before St. Patrick's Day and maybe the Leprechaun will leave treats in the box.

Here it is with the gold coins inside the door.  I couldn't find the chocolate coins anywhere so I got a kids cash register set from the dollar store and the coins were not gold enough so I sacrificed and got a Ferrero Rocher and wrapped the coins in the gold foil.  Now I don't have to worry about the chocolate drawing vermin and/or melting.

Homemade flourish bling

I saw a video on You Tube where a lady used her glue gun to make a design and then added rhinestones to the glue and reheated it with her heat tool to get the glue squishy again to set the stones.  I tried, I used flat back pearls.  I printed a flourish design, put it behind some parchment paper and applied glue.  I have a precision tip glue gun somewhere but can't find it.  I think it would work much better with the precision tip glue gun.  I am going to fine my glue gun and try this again.  I have a ton of flat back pearls and rhinestones to play with.

Button Flowers

Button flowers.  I saw this on Pinterest and fell in love.  I put 5 buttons in a circle, dropped a glob of hot glue in the center and popped another button on top.  Super easy and super cute.  Can't wait to add them to a project.

Layouts for a friend

I donated a scrapbook for a fund raiser auction for my church.  A friend of mine won the auction and these are the first three layouts I made for her.  I sure hope she likes them with I give her the album.

Boss Birthday Card

Made this card for my boss' birthday and yes, I still have my job.

Lamb Candy dispenser

I got this cut file from the Silhouette Online Store and am making them for the kids in our church for Easter.  The belly & feet pull out to reveal the drawer full of candy or whatever.  I think they are adorable.

New Years Eve

This is a layout I did of my daughter and her friends celebrating the ball dropping on New Years Eve with sparkling cider.  I used mostly the Celebrate kit from Scraptastic with some tags and sequins from my stash.  Also, the title "and the Ball Drops" is from the Silhouette online store.  I created the Times Square ball by printing the colored shapes on velum but they were not "enough" so I went over each of them with Stickles.  The stickles warped the velum but it gave it dimension so I was okay with it.  I created the background to the ball and glued the glitter ball on top.

The layout was for a sketch challenge on the scrap-a-holics anonymous yahoo group.  No, I didn't win but the winning layout was totally amazing!

Hope you enjoyed this layout.  Leave me a comment.

Thanks and scrap your happy little heart out.

Valentine's box

This is a valentine's mailbox from the Silhouette online store.  3d valentine mailbox by Lori Whitlock Design ID #54153.  I made it bigger but I think it would have been fine the original size.
This is also for a challenge at http://www.blogquickquotes.com/

Friday Challenge 48

I also made 2 more in the original size for a friends girls.

Game Night

Layout I did of a checkers game my daughter and I were playing.  I used a plastic mesh thing from a kit I bought YEARS ago and never used because it was a newspaper themed kit.  I finally decided that if I wasn't going to use it as an extra extra read all about it type layout I should use it anyway.  The string is also from that same kit.  I can't remember the company that did these kits but I think I only got 2 or 3 before I stopped.  The paper is from a scraptastic kit (not sure which one) and the Game Night letters are wood veneer from another scraptastic kit.  The game piece is an ATC from a swap.  I have not journalled yet but it will simply say how much I love when we have a game night and that she thought she could beat me at checkers but I won.

Good Dogs

This is a layout I did back in July after a trip up north to see my kids for the 4th of July and granddaughter's birthday.  I never liked pit bulls and was unhappy that my daughter and granddaughter had them.  Well, I met them and fell in love with Rosco (top left).  Princess growled at me all week (I took her bedroom so she didn't like me).  They are both very well behaved, trained, do the cutest tricks and are very affectionate.

The title came from one of their tricks where my daughter holds up her hand and says one paw, the dog puts one paw in that hand.  She holds up the other and the dog puts the other paw in that hand.  Then she holds both hands up and says both paws and the dogs jump up with both paws.  Then she says good dogs and gives them a treat.

Unfortunately, my daughter and kids had to move and they moved to an area that does not allow pit bulls so they had to adopt them out.

The layout uses my stash and under the word "good" I used my homemade designer mesh.  I covered old chipboard letters that were all funky colors with kraft card stock and stamped the paw prints on them.  Then stamped the paw prints on the diagonal.

Babysitting?

My layout showing my daughter's idea of babysitting during my Methodist Women's club meeting.    I don't think I used a kit at all.  The was just a bunch of stuff from my stash that I am trying to use up.

Ballet Master's Class

This is a layout using the January 2015 This Must be the Place Scraptatic kit.  Almost everything is from the kit except the black waffle paper from Stampin` Up and the gold rick rack at the top & bottom of the happy paper.

This is a layout of my daughter with her Master's Class ballet instructor, Valerie Lantratrov from Russia.  He comes once a year to do a Masters Class at her ballet studio.  The story this year is that during barre work, Valerie was having to correct everyone but when he got to Laycie he just said, Yes Right!"  She was over the moon that she got it right.  The subtitle "It is good for your health" is just a thing he says to them when they are getting tired.  He tells them that as a way to nicely say hard work and exercise are good for your health so quit whining.  LOL

They all love him and are all VERY grateful that they get to have a class with him even if it is only once a year.

Birthday Dinner Tradition

This is a layout using the August 2014 Scraptastic Celebration kit.  The story is that for approximately the past 10 years we have gone to my daughter's favorite Mexican restaurant for her birthday dinner.  If you tell them it is your birthday, you get to wear a sombrero and get a free fried ice cream dessert and they sing Happy Birthday to you in Spanish (Cumpleaños feliz) and rub ice cream all over your face (I know, gross).  I think everything was from the kit except the pop dots I put under the flag banner and the award tails to give them dimension.  Thanks for looking.

Bucket List Challenge

I am a subscriber to Heather's Crafty Life and she posted a video on You Tube for her subscribers to scrapbook their bucket list.  So I did the challenge.  I used Fancy Pants Grunge Paper Rough & Tumble for the background, MME Now and Then Mixed Bag for the numbers.  The Chevron paper is MME Now and Then collection.  The flowers are Making Memories Paper Reverie Metallique.  The ribbon is The Paper Studio Burlap Ribbon with lace.  I also used EK success scrabble letters.

The buckets I made for a swap I was in over on the Yahoo Group Scrap-a-holic Anonymous.  My bucket list (since I did my main bucket list item of going to New York) is:

1.  Sit on the beach on the east coast in the fall.
2.  Read the entire Bible.  I've read most of it but not ALL of it.
3.  Find a Geocache in ever state in America.
4.  Go to Branson.  I don't live far from Branson and my friends go all the time but I have never gone.
